Hey sweet friend! Thank you for being willing to takeover my stories for a Monday! Below you will find a little more info about what this is, a ways to schedule, and then all the details you need to go the day of your takeover!

What is #MoreThanOrdinaryMonday?

Great question! I wanted to be able to connect my followers to you! Don’t you love when you get a real life peek behind the curtain into other’s lives? Instagram is fun and pretty, but what all of us want to know is: How do you do that? What does your life really look like? And 1,000 other questions. Women are desperate for mentors, but they have become less accessible, and with the rise of filters and facades, they don’t know who to trust. That’s where you come in. I want you to give them a peek behind your curtain. Show them your every day and how you make it more than ordinary!

This wording came because I talk about Sacred Holidays all the time, but I often tell women—this isn’t just for your holidays, this is for all those seemingly ordinary days in between too! So I started my podcast, More Than Ordinary with Becky Kiser, to allow me to coach women through this concept. And I created this Monday takeover to all you all to coach women through it.

What is expected of you:

  • You log on throughout the day on the Monday you sign up. Most women have spread this out all throughout the day.

  • You share how you make your days more than ordinary. Specifically, share what your time with the Lord looks like—what do you study, how do you pray, what has helped you grow closer to the Lord, etc. Share other ways you live more than ordinary—this can be anything! I loved doing the takeover because it helped me notice ways that I make my every day more than ordinary, and I am praying you feel super encouraged as you do it too!

  • Share 3 non-spiritual or significant things that you love how they make your days more than ordinary. For example, I shared: L’Oreal Double Extended Mascara (in blackest black), Tresemme Dry Shampoo, and Califia Farms Almond Milk Coffee Creamer.

  • Be you! I love how most women have logged in just as they are when the wake up and we get to see the non-polished version of each of them—this is a great way to connect! Be honest—with your struggles, fears, challenges, etc. Whatever is your personality—be you! I chose you for a reason! I don’t want you to be anyone else but yourself!

  • Feel free to promote anything that is yours! If you have a website, book, instagram, product, event, etc., share about it! I hope you get a bunch of follow backs and this only helps grow your ability to continue influencing women!

I know your life is busy, so I’m grateful you will send some of your upcoming Monday with the women (and some men) who follow me. I am inviting you to takeover my stories for #MoreThanOrdinaryMonday because I believe you live a more than ordinary life. Likely you are shaking your head no right now, which is another reason I chose you. Women need to see that ALL WOMEN—regardless of following, influence, position, stage of life, etc.—are capable of living more than ordinary lives!

What I want you to share on stories: 

  • Introduce yourself: Tell them a little bit about you. Where do you live? What do you spend your day doing? Share how we know each other (if we do).

  • Throughout your day share 3 NON-SPIRITUAL thing that makes your days more than ordinary. People love real life tips and tricks! This will help you be relatable in the midst of sharing more serious things. (For example, I shared about: dry shampoo, flavored coffee creamer, and L’oreal Double Extended Mascara in blackest black.) You can even tag or post links to the products. 

  • Also shared how you are intentional to live a more than ordinary life: 

    • Be vulnerable! Women are so excited to get an authentic peek behind your curtain. We are all tired of the filters and facades of social media. Show them the real side of your life, this will help them trust you as you share the parts that you have figured out! 

    • Be specific! For example, I would share about how my morning time is essential. How sometimes it’s been night time, but either way, I need at least an hour a day to have unhurried time with the Lord praying and in His Word. How during busy seasons, I increase the time instead of decreasing the time. Share tips of how you make time with the Lord a priority. What works? What doesn’t?

    • Be bold and encouraging! What would you say to your sisters watching who want to live a more than ordinary life? Challenge them! Sharing boldly will not come across as prideful. We all need to learn from one another. No one will think you are pretending to have it all together. But the things you have figured out, share it! 

    • Be YOU! I asked you for a reason! Be the real version of yourself--they will LOVE YOU, just as I do! There isn’t a right way to do this--just be you. 

Best practices: 

  • Feel free to post all in one stretch or pop in and out throughout the day! Whatever works best for you! If you don’t have a preference, I recommend and also found it helpful to log in throughout the day as the Lord brought things to my mind. But if you are super busy, it might be best to do it all in one stretch. Then you can always pop back in if you remember something later that day. 

  • Mix up videos and pictures. Feel free to use the other features of stories! Add in fun images to your pics or videos. I love doing polls or the ask a question feature. 

  • Takeover the DMs too! Encourage them to interact with you in the DMs and feel free to interact with them there! Just be sure to sign your name (for example, “Love that girl! -SJ” or “Thats’s awesome! -Susie Jones), so they know it’s you and not me.

Don’t forget: 

  • Set an alarm so you don’t forget! I even set an alarm to go off a few times throughout the day so that I remembered to log back in. I also put a few post it notes around because I have a terrible memory!

  • Pray for your ladies! The goal of this isn’t a number of views, it’s the hearts that are watching. Pray for the Lord to give you direction to love on His ladies on your day!

  • Share on your social media accounts that you’ll be giving a peek behind the curtain and have them come over to watch and interact! 

  • Say “goodbye” at the end of the day and tell the ladies where they can find you! 

  • Be sure to sign out of Instagram when your day is over!
