As I share at the beginning of the show, this one makes me nervous. I’ve debated 100 times not posting it. And yet I think it’s important to post. I always keep it real with you… even at the cost of what you might think about me or how it might after my career. My greatest hope is that it doesn’t. I want you to hear this show with an open mind, because I had this discussion with Amber with an open mind. I know if you land firmly in either party or political camp, then this show will offend you. I hope it doesn’t. I hope you can hear another way. For those of you who are more like me and you feel like neither party or camp fully represents your beliefs, this show is for you. I ask my friend Amber some of my hardest questions I’m wrestling through right now.
Amber would never pretend to be an expert but has studied this more than anyone I know and lived this out more than any expert I’ve seen interviewed, no matter what station you listen to. She’s not trying to build a name for herself. Quite the opposite, she’s just like you and me--wanting her life to make a difference and to be true to her faith.
I want you to know that this is a safe place to wrestle through hard political questions. I also want you to know you can let down any guard. There is zero endorsement of a political candidate for any office, there can’t be since I am still thinking and praying through who I am voting for.
If you find this show helpful, would you share it? I want to offer this safe place for all people, but especially people of faith who have been told you can only believe or see things one way. I hope this conversation opens your eyes up to a new perspective. I pray this is helpful for you!
